History

Universal Scale Service was founded in 1991 by Mike Tinney, a service technician from National Controls Inc. We are a family owned and operated business located in Sonoma County California, just outside the small town of Sebastopol. Universal has been providing quality nationwide service for the scale industry for the past 20 years.

Mission Statement

Universal Scale Service is committed to providing excellent work that will always meet your expectations. You can see this same statement in one form or another from practically any company, but if we didn’t live by it, we obviously wouldn’t stay in business. This also means providing quality service at a reasonable price. We do that by keeping our overhead low. For example: we own our own facility, recycle shipping materials, and are energy efficient. This allows us to keep our flat rates low and to offer 20% to 30% discounts for 3 to 10 repairs on the same order. We also offer free ups ground shipping for orders over $300, free estimates, and free inspection for no problem found or unrepairable! Pay by credit card and receive free ups ground return shipping. Warranties on all items are a “no hassle” 120 days.
